Advertisement: Snickers


The candy is Snickers, sold by the Mars Chocolate North America division of Mars. For the last three years, Snickers has been the subject of a well-regarded campaign that carries the theme “You’re not you when you’re hungry,” which supplements the brand’s longtime slogan, “Snickers satisfies.”
This is one type of product advertisement which used print advertisement to communicate its message to the target audience. It consists of a tagline below the brand picture. SNICKERS which says “You’re not you when you’re hungry”. It clearly that the purpose of this advertisement is to inform its target market that this product has a power to feel you full when you are hungry.
            What I’ve noticed when I see this advertisement, it is simply the snickers it self that caught my attention because I love chocolates. Next thing is that when I’ve seen the detailed tagline the message of it, is that simply when you are hungry grab and eat snickers because when you are hungry you are not in your own self, you are not you.  Even though it is sweet many people buy this product. This is a healthy chocolate that can also eat by the people who are doing their diets. Because what I observe in this advertisement is that they are trying to advertise healthier product like this, when you eat this you are healthy because our body need some sugars. In terms of this advertisement’s attractiveness the usage of color was very smart that catches attention of the viewer’s eye even though in a quick saw. Other than, the picture itself, the tagline turns attractive also to me.

            The target audience of this advertisement was all individuals who are health conscious and those who are wanted to keep their body fit. It also shows neither positive nor negative effect because the purpose of this is to inform everyone that this product can be an alternative to be full.

Breeze Powder Commercial


            The story is all about the patience of a mother to her son.  The mother do not show to her son the feeling of being angry even though her son is always naughty, then she made herself to be nice to her son as always because she love him. At first he boy help his friend’s ball pen to be able to use it, but he never think that the ball pen may overflow in his uniform. Then, for the sake of his friends he slides for them to be happy and teach them how to slide. In other words, he is always on the go for his friends and the mother supports her son although she knew that he would be dirty clothes. The mother gave her all support for her son.  Connecting to the product, no one will buy the products if it is not reliable, not affordable and cannot attract to the people’s eye. 
            In the commercial, they used the image of the mother, son and friends bonding to show the love of each other. They demonstrated that even people mess up their child is okay with them as long as their child enjoyed doing. The commercial is very attractable with the combination of its sound background.  This is their great strategy to gain more buyers and sellers and people who patronize their product.
            The medium used of the commercial is television to reach their target market.

Commercial: Nido



The commercial is all about mothers are nurturing, loving and selfless. They have the strength and courage that inspire us each and every day. Without a mother and grandmother's love and understanding, it would not become who we are today. We should thank our mother and grandmother for being always there for us even though the grandmother always says that “it is your child, so don’t pass the half responsibility on me”. But then again they don’t resist on us as their grandchild because they also love us like loving his/her child. They’ll be are always #1 mom from us.

            In this commercial, they used the grandmother, mother and her daughter as a strategy in being taking care of the child by her grandmother and doing some of their bonding while the mother is in work.   The grandmother shows her overwhelming love and care to her grandchild as what she does in her daughter long time ago. This commercial caught attention because many of the grandmother relate on this commercial because it is the real scenario nowadays. The commercial is shown during mother’s day because that month gives the opportunity to pay tribute to all the mothers for their timeless and nurturing love.

Commercial: Lucky Me! Instant Mami

            The commercial is all about the guidance of the mother into her son. The mother is always there for her son even though her son is always crying and asking himself of what of what is the reason that after practicing very hard to gain a slot in a basketball team, he did not make it to be one of the players to be in the line- up of the try outs. The chosen players were twelve only but his son was ranking in No. 13. To lessen his rejected feeling, his mother cooked noodles for him which he ate. And after eating, the mother asked her son to repeat some sayings or lessons in life that her mother taught him. And these are “Never say die” and “Tomorrow is another day”. And after saying that her son realize that being rejected into the basketball try outs is never a failure. Maybe being a basketball player is not for him. The aspiring players must assess the above criteria objectively to avoid self-pity. Their mothers must give them good advice and guide them properly to lick their wounds and move on. Whatever happens, their mothers will always be there for them whether in the field they chose or to another field they decided to try.
            In this commercial, they used shown it during the mother’s day special as their strategy. Even though her son is rejected she cheer up her son and cook him some food for them to able to relax his mind.
